We’re delighted to announce that Live at The Pantiles is now free to attend, meaning no ticket purchase is required—simply come along and enjoy the atmosphere, music, and vibrant setting.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, the event space will operate within a managed perimeter with a maximum capacity of 499 guests at any one time. Once capacity is reached, a “one out, one in” policy will be in place.
The Quartet brings together four highly respected figures from the UK jazz scene, led by Rath Artist and acclaimed trombonist Geoff Mason, widely regarded as one of the UK’s leading jazz trombonists, with performances spanning Ronnie Scott’s, the 606 Club, major UK and international jazz festivals, and collaborations with artists including Scott Hamilton, Greg Abate and the Ronnie Scott Big Band.
He is joined by Ben Croft on piano, a London-based pianist, composer and arranger with critically acclaimed releases on 33Jazz and Ubuntu Music, and credits ranging from Ronnie Scott’s to West End theatre and major TV productions.
On bass is Dominic Howles, a deeply respected double bassist whose international career includes performances across Europe, the USA, the Middle East and Asia, and collaborations with artists such as Stacey Kent, Bobby Wellins and Gary Smulyan. Completing the quartet is Kevin Miles on drums, a world-travelled performer and former drummer and leader of the RAF Squadronaires, with recording credits at Abbey Road, chart success, film work and performances alongside artists including Rod Stewart and Andrea Bocelli.
Recording session work includes the soundtrack of the British film “Grow your Own” and the BBC drama “The Debt”.
Geoff also runs his own quintet with the Tenor Sax player Mike Coats, which has made 3 CD’s and appeared on BBC Radio two’s “Best of Jazz” ,”Jazz FM” and at many jazz festivals and clubs in the UK including the EFG London Jazz festival, Ealing Jazz festival and Scarborough Jazz festival
In addition to the quintet Geoff has worked with many top jazz stars including visiting Americans Scott Hamilton, Greg Abate & Daryl Sherman and UK musicians Digby Fairweather, Derek Nash, Tina May, Paul Booth, Steve Fishwick, Dave O’Higgins, Henry Lowther, Nigel Price and also toured the UK with Martha and the Vandellas.
Geoff is A Rath Artist for Rath trombones.
Drinks Policy
Guests are welcome to enjoy drinks within the event area; however, no glass is permitted inside the perimeter. Any drinks purchased from bars at The Pantiles must be decanted into plastic cups or containers before entry.
