KUBABKA make swirling yeasted 'babka', an Eastern European tradition filled with all sorts of delicious fillings - dark chocolate and hazelnut, white chocolate and tahini, a savoury offering of pesto, English cheddar and roast pepper.
Chef Jamie Frankel uses stoneground flours for flavour and makes fillings inspired by classic British desserts such as sticky toffee puddings married with middle eastern flavours such as rose, saffron, and mahleb. Vegan offerings include a delectable apple cake; there's also a delicious gluten free seed bread made from oat, sunflower, pumpkin and flaxseeds - and sellout, standout cinnamon-tonka cinnamon cruffins. Utterly delicious.
