Join us for an after-dark walk to hear about the unsettled souls said to inhabit the famous Pantiles in Royal Tunbridge Wells. Hear the story of a haunted hotel, a mysterious figure that appears above a restaurant and the sorrowful cries from the Common – all united in grief and loss. There will also be some insights into the oft-forgotten past of The Pantiles.
The walk will last approximately one hour and is mostly on the level, although there are some steps up and down (about 20 in total).
Your guide is David Woosnam, a qualified City of London Guide, who moved to Tunbridge Wells five years ago and has provided local walking tours for private groups and Heritage Open Days (“The Pantiles – Something In The Water”, “The Elevated Decimus Burton Walking Tour” and “Station to Station – Sainsbury’s to Sainsbury’s”).
The meeting point at No. 4 The Pantiles (Imperial Pharmacy, Nevill Street end).
